David Carradine and Brenda Vaccaro star in this Roger Corman produced film from 1979.
The year is 1919 and Charlie (Carradine) has just returned from the WW I in France. He wants to enter the first ever transcontinental motorcycle race from St Louis to San Francisco. The problem is, he has no money. But being a small-time con man, he is able to recruit three of his ex-army buddies to help him out and become his crew. But his buddies think he deserted them on the battlefield and are not particularily keen to join up with Charlie.. He also hooks up with Grace (Vaccaro) and her son who end up going along to San Francisco. A great supporting cast features L.Q. Jones, R.G. Armstrong and Jesse Vint. It’s a well-done comedy / action film with lots of motorcycle racing and stunts featuring vintage motorcycles.
Viewing quality of this DVD is good but not perfect. It is shipped in a plastic case with the artwork as shown. (NTSC Fornat)
