An unusual print from this wonderful 1983 movie starring Bonnie Bedelia as Shirley Muldowney, the legendary woman who made it big in the male dominated sport of drag racing. It also starred Beau Bridges as Connie Kalitta another drag racing legend and Muldowney's tumultuous romantic interest. Competing with the fastest and the best, much of her success has been in the top fuel class with speeds over 300 mph. In a 30 + year career, she's won numerous championships and set many records. The black and white inset shows Muldowney and her alter ego, Bedelia straddling a dragster. Sharp eyes will notice that the location is Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ - one of the oldest drag strips in the country. We have another version of this print showing the actual dragsters from the early '80s.
